During last week's "hurrication" due to Dorian I had time to sort through a heap of LWC that I've been through a few times already, but not in the last couple years. Armed with a far better understanding of varieties, I wound up finding not just one, but THREE 1939 P FS-101 doubled die LWC. I really like this one as there are a few giveaways, and even mid-grade specimens usually stand out. The eyelid doubling is very pronounced and makes for easy confirmation of the more subtle doubling on the 1 and first 9 of the date, plus the doubling south of RTY in LIBERTY. None of these are much better than VF but I was surprised to find so many of them in a relatively small collection.
Whoa thats a really neat doubled die especially because of those doubled eyelids! I have never seen Lincolns eyes doubled. Nice pictures. And you found three of them you must have been in the zone!
