Glad you've got so many of these AH-dated coins @bd251, as I'm going to be sitting on my hands until 1411 AD.

I'm out for a quite while at this point, unfortunately. I do see a few AH 813 coins on ebay but they are pretty pricy. I have really enjoyed getting into these chunky Sultanate coins thanks to this thread.

We Need - 1415 C. E. (A. H. 818) - Oh no. Are we stuck? Quote: For reference: the remaining expected missing dates in the 15th century are 1415, 1410, 1406, 1404, 1402, 1401 - corresponding to AH 818, 813, 809, 806, 804, 803.

It appears a new benchmark has been set: 1416/819. Now we see if the Seventh will reach this before the Sixth can move on. We Need - 1415 C. E. (A. H. 818) -

Can the example be a dated medal?
Cancel that question. Yes it can - eg Jetons No good anyway, the medal celebrates 1415 but minted in the 1800's
I have another iron in the fire. Waiting on an offer acceptance.

In an effort to breath life into the Sixth edition, I'm throwing this 1415 1/2 dirham into the pot. MAMLUK EMPIRE Mamluk Shaykh Al-Mu'ayyad Sayf Al-Din Abu'l-Nasr Dimashq AH(8)18 1/2 Dirham Dimashq mint. Purchased today, sellers pics. After quizzing the seller on the date, I have highlighted it's position. The Mamluks of Egypt, the slave-warriors of medieval Islam, overthrew their masters, defeated the Mongols and the Crusaders and established a dynasty.

Fantastic! I will let the experts confirm, but it looks like we may be able to fall back to 1414 soon!

Hmm this is well outside my area of knowledge. Maybe @j1m or @kushanshaw could comment?
@ttk, was this coin attributed to an Album number?

I think we should put a line through this coin for now. Even if it is a date, it would be (8)17, not 18. I have sent word back to the seller to double check if these marks are the date. I won't have the coin in hand yet, it is coming from US.
