Thank you, everyone! It was a long and exciting adventure, but with a beautiful result. Now, we just have to wait and see how it will end and in which collection the coin will eventually end up.

@larsjan, congrats once again both on the find and on the incredible outcome. While we occasionally hear about a valuable hoard of coins being found, the discovery of such a rarity as this is simply stunning!
jfransch - Thank you for posting the ANS Long Table link, I sent Dr. Kraft the link to this thread and the Hi-Res photos from PCGS CoinFacts and was hoping he would be able to include this one in his talk, so glad he had time to add it, I sent this to him about 60 hours before he was scheduled to give the talk on Friday!
Dr. Jesse Kraft for those that don't know is the ANS Resolute Americana Assistant Curator of American Numismatics Here is his About Me page on the ANS website: https://numismatics.org/jesse-kraft-2/
Jesse is a great addition to the staff at the ANS and is very approachable. He has helped me in my numismatic research and even given me credit in their database for solving a coin question they've had for many decades. Dr. Kraft is also extremely knowledgeable in his field. I would recommend watching his other Long Table videos that are posted on the ANS YouTube channel, all are very informative.

Very happy for the OP! Thank you for taking us on the long and winding journey with you, especially with the great outcome. It must be thrilling to hold such a piece of history in your hands - perhaps one of the last few to do so.

Fascinating read. I actually became aware of this thread due to the son of @larsjan talking about this coin in Coin Discord server. I'm not knowledgeable about Colonial, but still captivated reading this full saga.
Quote: I was watching a video on YouTube and it referenced this newly certified 3 pence about 20 minutes into video.
My gosh. When I first started watching the video, the narrator's voice sounded just like the guy from Home Shopping Network! Glad to know it's not him.
Amazing Result. I was hoping that this would be the final result from the get-go. I hope you make out well with your coin @larsjan. This is for the admins. After this thread has been concluded and we know the result of the coin.....we may not know the new owner/the collection it goes into.....although there will be guesses, can we pin this thread to the top of this forum or a new forum so this stays at the forefront of our minds and remains easily accessible to any new member joining?
