@kr, I'm not so sure about a die clash. Have you tried looking at an overlay to see if any of the details on the obv match up with those two parallel lines? I sooner think that it is Feeder Finger Damage, but I'm interested to hear what others think.

I don't understand how a die clash would effect that area, causing such aggressive die polishing. Also reverse looks like a EDS, I'm leaning towards Feeder Finger Damage (my first thought) but still trying to visualize the the process of of loading the blanks for the minting action
