can you tell me what you see in the 1893

and that is a 1897 "1 in the neck" right?

I'm pretty certain that's a 1897 Snow-1 "1 in neck"; that's how it looks when worn. Compare the position to the one below.
The 1893 is probably a repunched date--I just don't have the date guide for this year to give you a Snow #.

sure, the 1897 is the 1 in neck;
as for the 1893, nice repunched date.
