Congratulations. The good thing about finally completing this set is that you get to repeat the accomplishment each year from now on! ps. I noticed Dansco didn't leave a space for your 1968S (No S) Proof.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups. We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

That's awesome! If you want to continue the collection, look for the early proofs, from 1950-1964, then maybe the 1982 "no P" As for the 68,70,83 "no S" those might be a little pricy.

Great Job! I love the look of a completed album. I've got my Dansco on order and can't wait to dive in. I'm curious, how long have you been working on this set? Also, as I am about to take on this project, where there any difficulties other than key dates? Thanks, Jon

I have my original set I assembled in a Dansco album. Gave it to my son for him to bring up to date a few years ago. When I was able to afford higher grade dimes, I put together a nice set and have put them into a CAPS Album. I am now working on another set, this one a certified set. Trying to assemble a high grade full torch (FT) set. still need quite a few to go, but it is #1 ranked set at NGC. this is the link if you'd like to see it! https://coins.www.collectors-societ...&Ranking=NGC

Let the fun begin! Jon

Just noticed your Avatar jbuck. Very cool. The Ike Dansco looks pretty simple, but I'm guessing it won't be easy. Thanks again guys for responding to the "newbie" Jon

Mine was completed between 1984 and 1993, but I was in school for most of that so funds and time were limited. Not having ebay as a resource was an additional impediment. On the flip side, I completed my PCGS Ike set between September 2016 and January 2020. I believe that a raw set (for the Dansco) would be exponentially easier to complete. There are plenty of raw Ikes on ebay and no shortage of them at the coin shows I attend. This has me contemplating a third set in CAPS.

Quote: I'm curious, how long have you been working on this set? Lets see. I believe I started this one around 2011. I was concentrating more on Kennedy halves and Ikes and Jeff nickels. I finished those up first, then concentrated on my Lincolns. I was doing the dimes the whole time, but not as a focus. I had it about 80% complete when I pushed to finish it. Quote: Also, as I am about to take on this project, where there any difficulties other than key dates? Just like any other coins (except true rarities), finding all of them in good shape is easy. Finding them for reasonable prices in good shape however takes some patience.

Thanks Smokeriderdon for the information. I am also working on multiple sets at the same time: Kennedys, Washington quarters, and now Ikes and Roosevelt dimes. Thankfully, I have a great LCS to help me with this, but I'm really looking forward to attending my first coin show when they start up again... Jon
