Buffalo78 New Member United States 43 Posts	Posted 07/08/2020 07:31 am Well finally ponied up the cash for an 1877 to finish by IHC (not including any of the overdate varieties.) I thought this was a very nice example for the grade (and my budget.) Very strong obverse and date with a little weakness at the top. I know the reverse is not as eye-pleasing but frankly I look at the obverse much more. I recognized there is a couple of tiny spots of corrosion on the reverse but overall I am pleased. Per NGC this was just slabbed in June. I also noted that they only "certify" the grade on copper coins for 10 years. I never realized that. Report this Post to the Staff
