Please tell me about this coin:
1912-D (mislabeled as 1912) 10#1057;
Is this some type of 1912 coin ? If I already have a 1912 10 cent coin, do I need to have this coin in my collection if I don't collect coins by variety ? Only by year and mint

It sounds like you have a coin in a slab that is mis-labeled. You say you are collecting by date and mint and you already have a 1912. If you don't have a 1912 D then yes you can use theis coin (what the label says doesn't matter the COIN is still a 12 D) If you do have a 12 D already then no you don't need it.

Unfortunately, I don't have a photo. I was only informed of the data of the coins certified by PCGS. I can only tell you the certificate number.

That helps - I was wondering if it was even a US coin. If it has a D on the reverse below the wreath, it was just mislabeled. Denver minted Barber dimes 1906-1914 so if you're collecting by date and mint, you need it.

As promised, the seller put the coin up for auction. It turns out that the PCGS specified the wrong mint.
