Wow spectacular finds!

My guess is a lamination on the 1980, and the 1996D doesn't have a DDR-005. I'm guessing it's an unlisted DDR. Doesn't match anything on Wexler's either.

The 1980 almost looks like a mortar set error, area where plating fell off the die, but I don't even know if the Denver mint had plated dies, so I'm a little confused. Someone else will probably be able to give a better answer.

I see, not meaning to be a smartass, but it's 1996D-1DR-005

DDR = VV
1DR = CC
WDDR = Wexler

Just helps us be able to check the sites real quick rather than search all three of them. But yeah looks like a match.
