An incuse impression of a miscellaneous foreign object which has found its way between a die and planchet. This has also caused an issue on the RH side rim.

Purchased this week - awaiting delivery, will know more then.

You don't have a picture of the other side?

@USSID18

Currently I only have the auction image, but its not very clear. Hopefully I will receive the coin soon for a more detailed examination.

The coin on the left is the error coin - on the right is a 1950 example for comparison.

I dont see anything very obvious on the obverse from this photo. Perhaps the ear and left of head may be a bit 'flat'.

It could very well be a struck thru of some type. I don't see a protrusion on the obv either.

@USSID18

I received the coin today and there is a raised section on the obverse behind the hole. Not very obvious on the photo but the raised area has been worn bright with constant abrasion from other coins.

I'm not an expert. I suppose it could be a hit.
