Star $100 Notes - Coin Community Forum

nod2003 Pillar of the Community United States 3294 Posts	Posted 11/20/2008 5:00 pm I get star $100 notes fairly frequently. Unfortunately, I can not spare $100 to keep any of them. Is there any value above $100 associated with them? They ones I have gotten are all 2003 and newer, and most are not in uncirculated shape, but they are only lightly worn and not folded. I feel it depends on a number of things. 1: How many people are collecting paper money when you decide to sell it. 2: How many of the note you're trying to sell are available. 3: Did the Mayans know something we do not when they made their calendar.(just kidding) Did you get the note at face value? If you did and you can resist the urge to spend it on a nice coin or 3, I don't see anything wrong with holding onto it and keeping your fingers crossed.
