Hi can anyone please help me this Chinese junk coin dollar with 3 birds . Is it real or is it a counterfeit? When I weighed it it weighed in at 28.4 grams . Thanks so much I really appreciate it. I am new to the coin collecting so I'll be making lots of posts asking for all of your experts helps thank you!

The "three birds" dollars are rather rare and valuable - and extremely frequently copied. I tend to assume that any that I see are counterfeit, and try to prove otherwise.

We've only got one picture in this case, and from the style and sickly yellow colour I would tend to assume that it is a base-metal replica.
