Greetings to everyone. I would like your opinion about this cent on the black patina that is inside the coin. What is it about? I tried to give it a light cleaning but it does not take off. Thank you in advance.

Coin's surface was exposed to an environmental agent of some sort, causing the staining. Have seen many hundreds of these over the years.
