Found this in a junk silver pick up and this thing shot out immediately. It looks like a rolled-in metal or a missing clad error (which is impossible considering it's 90% silver).. Any thoughts?

Your coin looks like it was messed with by someone playing with heat and solder . Has nothing to do with clad error. Just PMD .

Agree. There was no cladding in this era.

Yes I'm just wondering what kind of PMD it could have been. Upon seeing it I thought I found a clad error then looked at the date!
I think it would be neat to know what chemical made this silver look just like copper.
