Not sure if this is the start of a smoking counter stamp or a strike through error? I don't collect counter stamps.

The nasty scratch cuts through the side of the incuse area, so happened after it.

I'm not sure about this, but I'm leaning towards more of a strike through

Looks like intentional damage to make it appear there was a cigarette in Abe's mouth. (Note on the lower lip, the wave away from the area where the damage pushed away from the contact mark, probably from a small screwdriver?) I need a closer view to see if the other area is a struck through or damage to the coin.

Looks like neither. I would say a minor, well-placed lamination.

It looks like a really small delamination to me.

I was sure that it was just damage, but the fact that I can see Abe's lip at the bottom of the defect is pushing me into the lam camp.

Actually now that I look, I can see what might be a lam break line from creek up towards ear. Thanks. Never would have looked past the obvious. I think a LAM is what it is.

Wonder how collectable it would be due to the just right placement if I call it a smoking hot LAM?

PMD: Looks like a Connoisseur of the Sticky Bud wanted good old Abe to Strike one up with him so he made him a Fatty. Now Abe's got the munchies
