Third letter looks like a Y to me. Maybe the first is a G?

@Gincoin - you're onto something there. I suspect it's a dodgy coin though. The writing just doesn't line up with the writing in the genuine piece.  Edited by David Graham

I Think it is ok, though how someone let it go through a dryer I do not know and there is now no way to authenticate it. However I must make a correction, I didn't see the letters. Nice work @gc! I think you have nailed it. The only thing I would add is that perhaps this coin was spooned rather than being a Dryer Coin. The rolled over edge looks more angular than I would expect for dryer damage. Or not—hard to say at this point. "If you climb a good tree, you get a push."

Can't thank you enough everyone! What sherlocks you all are! I truly love this group and have learned so much!! Definitely has the OCT letters and I kept thinking Octavius or something Roman!!!
