Well that was something. Got excited when I was able to add a gold and silver, get to checkout and then got the dreaded "item no longer available" message for the gold. Just getting it removed was an uphill climb. It was a good 20 min later before I was able to get one. And I only found out because during one of my many checkout attempts, I got the "House hold limit reached" message. I then logged off and logged in using a friends account (another uphill battle) and was able to order another after many frustrating attempts. Needless to say, I was exhausted immediately after.

With a mintage more than double last year's S-ERP, prices will likely come down to a few hundred. However, if a lot of people buy these now, when the hype is strong and prices inflated, it's going to take a long time to get there as people try to recoup their costs. Edited by bzookaj

I am going to be worried about the silver medal on Monday. Truth be told, I want the medal more and maybe missing out on that was adding to my anger today.

Anyone plan on sending it in to get graded? Also, anyone know if PCGS or NGC are doing a special label?

One disturbing thing I found out that there are 16 people on twitter that took up 170+ orders from this release. Which included the AGE. I did send this thru to the mint and this is the reply I received "I will forward this to Mint leadership for their awareness. Thank you for sharing."  |

It's one thing having to deal with a bunch of people and their (figurative) trigger fingers on the mouse. It's another when you have to deal with bots that can keep refreshing and entering info simultaneously. Edited by mrpapageorgio

My anger subsided after a couple hours and a nice sandwich (and now a beer), but it's starting to spike again after reading some of the above posts about unscrupulous, greedy clowns. I have the feeling the medal will be much easier to come by and feel that it will make an excellent companion to the 75th ASE. @jbuck, IIRC this is your first ASE? If so, congratulations! Hope it was worth the effort!  |

Wonder if they'll do the same for this release. |

For only 1945 Gold units, the Mint should be able to identify the fraudulent/greedy orders.
