FWIW - the president did not sign the 2021 Morgan/Peace dollar bill nor the coinage redesign one. Both expired when the 116th Congress adjourned today. At present, then, the state of the law is that the Quarter will show Washington Crossing the Delaware until a new law is passed. Under the existing authority, the mint could redesign the Kennedy half and Roosevelt dime as they have been in use for the required 25 years.

I think we have to accept all these quarter and possible half dollar programs are probably coming. What I would like to see added to any of the bills is that that they also mint the original design quarter(even if its the new crossing the Delaware) and half dollar along side of the commemorative program coins. Maybe issue a "classic" mint/proof set with original designs. the offer the women's quarters and sports half dollar sets like they are doing with the Innovation dollars. I didn't mind the state and nat. park quarters, but I am getting tired of so many issues ad would just like to get back to a five coin proof set, and a ten coin mint set. How do we petition the sponsors of these bills to add something like this to the legislation?

Since they sent the quarter redesign bill to him on December 17th and he didn't veto or sign it, and the Congress was still in session on December 27 wouldn't the bill still have become law under the 10 day rule? The Morgan/Peace dollar bill was sent less than 10 days before the end of the session so it died from a pocket veto.

Quote: He did sign the Silver Dollar Act. He signed it today, Which is odd, he signed it two days after it should have died.
