I have to say that despite hfjacinto's great photographic abiltiy, the coin in hand is far and away nicer than the photos. It is blast white, with super high luster (which apparently is causing the photos to show "distractions" which are not on the coin in hand). The coin looks like it came off the press yesterday!.
Congratulations on the 50 Cent portion of your great Dansco 7070 Type Set. Just a few coins to go for completion (once you deal with your lovely Portuguese coin purchases)
Steve
A day without fine wine and working on your coin collection is like a day without sunshine! My collecting "Pride & Joy" is my PCGS Registry Dansco 7070 Set: https://www.PCGS.com/setregistry/ty...edset/213996

I agree with WineSteven, the coin in hand is flawless. I could see it being resubmitted and getting a PF69, it is a beauty. Although I don't know if I would call it blast white, it has no marks anywhere but its more a mirror finish. It reflects every thing. Heck I used the coin as my mirror while shaving as it was that reflective.

Quote: Great set! Congratulations! Love the Franklin. What's next? Thank you. Next is getting this coin, I'm originally from Portugal, and this was one coin I've wanted for my Portuguese Type Set (see link a few posts back). After that I have 4 coins still missing from the 7070 Registry and about 22 more IHC that are still missing from the FE/IHC registry set. So I'll work on those. Another project for 2022 is to get a slabbed 1909 S VDB. Although I have a complete Dansco set of Wheat Cents (with the 1909 S VDB), I still have my original Whitman folder that is missing the 1909 S VDB and while I don't want to get one to put in the hole, a slabbed one would "officially" let me complete a set I started as a child. After that it will 2023, I have a few large US Notes I'm missing

Wow!!!! Talk about point efficiency! I wish I can get 400 points for every $14.42 I spend on coins in my NGC Registry!!!!!
BTW, a GREAT looking coin - PR69DCAM for a 45 year old coin!

Hey Steve!! Welcome back! I was getting worried about you! I hadn't seen any posts in a few weeks. I was going to email you. Actually started writing the email to make sure you are ok. Yes, I wish for every $14.42 cents I would get 500 points. I might be number 10-11 :) can't keep up with the other rabble rousers on the registry set

I was away last week on a cruise - first "real" travel since covid began. I've also been slammed at work, been so busy. But rest assured, late at night I scan the new posts almost daily, even if I don't have time to contribute or ask questions.

Yes I did. Since this is off topic, I'll keep it real short. 2,900 passenger capacity, 1,100 passengers onboard, 1,200 crew. Dinner each of the seven nights with great wine I brought onboard from my cellar.

Quote: Just a minor upgrade. I needed this coin for the 20th century type set and when I added it to the 7070, it gave me almost 400 extra points. I'm at 71 which is the highest I've ever been. Not bad 400 points for $14.42. Fantastic! Ike for the win!

Great looking coin! (and the 400 points) I'm going for a PCGS set as well, but ASE's. So I'm going to slowly get mine graded and out of the OGP's. (I have 2 done so far.. ) 45 to go, but the 2020's and 2021's aren't counted in that yet.
