Hi guys,

I have this 1950 s Lincoln Wheat penny and would like to know if this is a Lamination Error on Lincoln's nose and eye? It looks like a piece of metal that was stuck to the end of his nose and another piece of metal near his eye.

I see this big nose and think that now Lincoln looks like a clown!

To me, the nose looks like PMD, but the one near the eye looks suspicious. I'm no pro with this, so let's see what other people say. (Also, take this with a grain of salt, it's just what I think it is. I'm probably very wrong.)

I would say PMD--circulation hits pushed relatively soft copper. Nice look on the nose.

A closer-in photo of Lincoln's eye would help determine what's going on in that area.

Looks like just a well placed hit/scrape to the nose that caused metal movement behind the eye. PMD

I agree with PMD. Especially since areas behind the eye near the ear also look like they took a hit.

I agree, looks like Abe's nose took a good hit. PMD, no premium I'm afraid.
