Arrived in the mail today. Based on Wexler's die stages, I'd put it as stage A as the entire secondary mint mark is visible, and quite crisp. Looks even better in-hand than in the photos. Totally unsure if there is master die doubling for this year, but certainly there is doubling on the top of UNI of UNITED. 1936-D/D Buffalo nickel - RPM-002, FS-502 Report this Post to the Staff

Certainly wouldn't enjoy paying that much for a regular old nickel, but I think I did okay on this one. Even with having to send it in to get the variety listed on the label I'll have less than $200 in it, a fair shake less than these things go for at auction.
