I do that sometimes just in case 20 or 30 years from now I may want/have to sell my first coin ! This way, I'll always have one for the collection and still be able to, if I so chose, to sell one ! If I have something that rose in value very considerably, I'd sure love to make a nice profit, but without losing the coin from my hoard at the same time. I'm NOT in this for the money, so to speak........but hey....i'd be nice to get lucky on a coin right ? Report this Post to the Staff

No. I want to hold out of the "special set" because it actually appeals to me! (Not that the individuals do not appeal to me, but that I actually want to buy a mint issued set and not break it apart! I did get 3 proofs so I will have an extra one down the road if somebody on the board wants to make a trade. I only got 1 uncirculated and wanted 2 so I would have 2 of each.
