Also just curious if it's normal or not, but the queen's on these two coins look like they are different sizes. The queen on the lighter coin (the one that sounds weird) is close to the rim then the other one on the bottom it's almost touching the rim

Did anyone watch the video? If so is the sound difference possibly caused by something other then an error? I slid them on a rough floor so you can hear the different sounds of the metal not being pinged and the drop test as well, unless I'm crazy I think it's a pretty significant sound difference for two toonies of the same year

So the weird toonie seems to be about .08 grams heavier then a normal coin. I don't think that's very significant but it's different

Also not the best scale but it's consistently a little heavier

Again not the greatest scale but my other 2012 toonie was about the same under the weight of the weird sounding toonie each time. The 7g one is the ones that makes the weird sound the other is a normal 2012 toonie it's the same two I compared in my video, the weird one seems more worn and less debris then the other one but weighs more

The normal weight for the 2012 Security Two Dollar coin is 6.92g So if both of your coins are between 6.92g - 7.00g with only an 0.08g difference I would think that puts it well with in the mints Weight Tolerance IMO.

Agreed weight is not much off, consistently higher but not by much my main goal is to figure out the sound difference (why it sound weird compared to other toonis

I would think that any major "sound" difference would be from the center being loose in the outer ring. The centers come out fairly easily, so I would think that any loose ones would sound very different.

Iv tried pushing the center out, but no luck. Also in the video I posted a page or two back I did a slide test on a rough surface, even if there is no ring when I drop it it also sounds weird when slid on a rough surface. Also the queen looks closer to the rim on the bottom of the coin then my other 2012 toonie. If the core was loose it should still sound like a normal toonie when scraping the metal shouldn't it?

Wrekkdd your toonie is a 2012 old generation. there is only 1,531,000. these are collectable. put it away for later you may need it as a filler. make sure you put this coin under a microscope. there looks like hub doubling on your coin. so that would make your coin a doubled died coin as well

Thanks Rocky, both pale leafs are there it's just lighting. Idk what the rest of what you said means lol, still new to terms. I'll put it aside like my other ones. Still don't understand what's wrong with it or why the sound is different:p.

With the security leafs those are two different coins. Same 2 2012 coins from my pictures and sound test video. The 7g one is the one that sounds weird and also looks like it has more wear then the lighter one. I'm just interested mostly in the sound as a factor now:p
