The doubling is not apparent from your pic, at least to me.

1979 was a great year to study with lots of doubling of the Reverse (date 1979,979,79,9) + Maple leaf. The obverse had some as well and the odd chance of maybe finding a 1979 on a foreign planchet. I have one I think is a New Zealand or Barbados planchet.
