Hi,
My name is John, live in North Atlanta and an Army veteran. My interest is Civil War relics and I have been metal detecting for Civil War relics in metro Atlanta for the past five years. As you can imagine in metro Atlanta it is a challenge due to the heavy development around civil war camps, march routes and battle fields.

I have decided to switch my hunting areas from metro Atlanta to the routes that Sherman's armies took from Chattanooga to Atlanta.
I have been wondering if anyone has detected the older roads around Johnson's Crook on the southeastern cave conservancy property? Does the conservancy give permission to metal detect on their property?

I am looking for a hunting partner that would like to do hunts in NW Georgia south of Chattanooga Lookout mountain areas and areas along Sherman's route to Atlanta.
