Just wanted to share a ASE I've had in my wallet for over 5 years. It only comes out for a few minutes once and a while to entertain my 3 year old in church or any other time I need her to be quite. It was a father's day gift from my 9 and 7 year old daughters. My most valuble coin by far.

Super cool and I can see why that coin is important to you. I like that patina around the rim and the devices. It really highlights the design.

I saw a very similar one on ebay. It was worn exactly like a Walking Liberty half dollar, and the seller said it was a pocket piece for years. I really like the toning and wear on these. I may buy an ugly one for cheap and give this a try!

Although I love the ASE, and the old REV was something I liked, I was still kind of on the fence over it. To me the fields around it were too empty looking. But seeing the way yours looks gives it great eye appeal

It's been awhile, figured I'd give an update on my pocket piece. Hope everyone had a nice health holiday and new year. Thanks for looking.

That toning is really taking shape around the rim - very nice.

Thanks. I was pleasantly surprised. I don't take it out much now that my youngest daughter can be somewhat reasoned with.

you've inspired me. I'm going to have to do similar. oddly enough, someone gave me a post-christmas gift (she was unloading xmas leftovers), a new wallet. I never use wallets or anything similar, but you just gave me a reason to utilize my new wallet. thanks for the idea.

Thanks. My pleasure. Since I have it on me most of the time, I used to take it out more, it always surprises me how many people really have no idea what it is. They say it is cool and most respond its heavier then they thought. They are usually shocked it's made by the U.S. government. It makes me want to buy a monster box and hand them out with a little explanation. Silver eagle Santa Claus.
