Looks like the lower right corner took a hit and was flattened out. The L looks like a product of DDD. note how the L seems to be doubled towards the rim?

Both look like the results of circulation hits to me.

Both the L and 4 are just damaged from circulation hits.
Nothing uncommon

Agree, circulation hits, especially the 4. Hit or minor die issue with the L. Photos are a little too low resolution to see clearly. What does the reverse look like?
