I finally did it! Took a few years, but this past week I found a wonderfully clashed 1982 dime and I now have a denomination set for 1982 with the cent, nickel, dime, quarter, and half! Go me, and I'm not sure I could qualify as any more of a Numisnerd to my wife than when this packaged arrived today!

The variety I am on the hunt for now is the nickel with a clash and Cud. Anyone?

that's quite the MAD specimen!!! Nice. Among my 1982 nickel clashes, I also have a double strike flip over in addition to the off center I chose to show tonight :) the nickels can really show the clashes well!

A 1982 "flip over double strike in collar" just sold on ebay for $122. It was a great looking error.

Never heard of someone making a collection like that before. This is what makes coin collecting so interesting and flexible.

Nice set. Not to nit-pick, but I would look for a centered nickel with a die clash. It would make the set look more uniform,IMHO.

Not seeing a ton on the quarter, so maybe that is one you can upgrade, but the rest are all excellent examples!

I have a few centered. Just picked this one for a little more dramatic affect I suppose. It's one of my favorites in my hoard.

Right. There is a little evidence on the reverse too near the eagle's beak, but it's far less dramatic than the other denominations. Maybe something will pop up someday. I never know what will pop up on any given day. Keeps the trill of the chase alive.
