1953 Wheat Penny - Die Crack Or Lamination?

This is my first time seeing something like this on a coin. It looks like a crack. Lamination is another term that popped up when I did a preliminary google search. I actually looked at this coin a few times and missed it twice, I had tunnel vision looking at the date, mintmark, "Liberty," and "In God We Trust." I then looked at it again just in case I missed any doubling/thickness/notches, and low and behold, it appeared when I was off-focus from the letters and words, I was used to seeing and I was like "Whoa," I need to share this. Woohoo, I'm 2 for 2. RPM in my last thread and a Die Crack on this one! Feels really good and is truly a great break from Machine Doubling or DDD, "that I can tell you!" Separate the coins by date and MM and focus solely on that date. Soon, you won't need the notes. Report this Post to the Staff
