Just saw this and my head is spinning. Maybe it's just me and my newbie untrained eye but this dime looked like it was buffed, scruffed and maybe thrown into a tumbler just for good measure. It sold for $45.76 with 25 bids. Am I missing something here? Thoughts?

Dear and cd. I tried to take a screen shot but it was too large to post to the forum. I didn't really want to post a link in case I was off base and besmerch sic (is that a word?) someone. Guess I wondered if there are any Bay scams going on with bidding without naming names.

Question is which came first? The parking lot or the dryer?

See this quite often on ebay.
Just google "US error coins ebay" on you will see
numerous damaged coins being sold as errors.
Rest in Peace

this coin has suckered in 8 bidder for a ground down dime. the winner here is the loser of their money.

Folks, please learn how a coin is minted and struck before bidding on 'error' coins.

Uh, yepper there is ...

but this is an example of wanna be error collectors with too much $ and not enough knowledge.
