thanks SamCoin, sirguardian

it is possible that it may be die ware... lots of flow lines.. maybe some flattening

but LIBERTY and IGWT does not show the same issue (thickness with thinness at the 2 and 8 o'clock on the date).

I do not think it is a DDO, but if it is, it is very minor.

Looks like a minor DDO to me, you can see the thickness/distortion, corresponding throughout the date, in the same places. Very similar to WDDO-004 and WDDO-007 but think yours may be different.

Coppercoins.com/
Note the date distiortion on the DDO:

Forget the edges. Look at the centers of the devices for enlargement. The outside/inside areas will just show Machine Doubling and die wear on the sides face the rims.

The OP's coin has the classic shape to the 0 (for a minor DDO).

As he said, thinness on the upper right and lower left of the 0.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

The thinness stands out and makes you see what is going on but only because of the doubling/thickness/distortion of the class nine doubled die. The "thinness" is normal,it's the other that is the doubling and should be paid attention to. As Error Ref says, "CLASS IX - SHIFTED HUB DOUBLING".
