My favorite large cent design is the classic head large cent. The favorite one in my collection is a 1794 liberty cap as I dont have a nice example of a classic head yet.
I've been collecting for a couple years... Favorite Coin's are Standing Liberty quarters, Working on my type set | Coffee, Corvettes, Coins & the CCF what could be better?

Chain cent is not the prettiest (actually pretty scary looking), but it was first at the U.S. Mint, an issue that was struck only for 14 days and has an eerie feel from the late 18th century at the inception of U.S. official coinage.

I concur with numismatic student, the 1793 is scary but also holds significant historical value. My all time favorite would be the 1794 liberty cap lettered edge. They worked out the scary bugs, and it still has the edge lettering.

Chain cent for me too—one of the few missing from my cent collection, plus I like how this design elements is visible well after the rest of the coin is nearly slick.

After more than 35 years collecting Early American Coppers, I would say that for me, personally, the Liberty cap designs, best exemplified by the 1794 cents are my favourite and the most aesthetically pleasing.

@GERMANICVS, those are beautiful examples. I like the early large cents, very much part of our nation's history. I have a few but low grade.

I don't collect errors but this one makes me wish I did.

This sums up my feelings perfectly. I love how a contemporary review called her "in a fright". The chain cent is my avatar <--- and my collection will never feel complete until I get one.
