Country of origin, mintage, age, grade, hopeful investment, or historical fascination? It looks like it's in really great shape for being over 200 years old! I'm sure it has seen many hands! thq Pillar of the Community United States 3347 Posts	Posted 04/17/2022 3:53 pm That's a nice specimen. Over the past few years I've picked up foreign gold for type coins. A Louis here, a Doblon there, and finally a Guinea. A little dog-eared compared to yours, but it IS Queen Anne. In hand, the Guinea is almost identical in size and weight to a US Draped Bust half eagle. It's easy to see what the prototype for the American coinage is.
