The condition on this coin really helps the RPM pop better than most of the listing photos I've seen. The chip on column #1 and in between U & R in pluribus indicates Stage D. 1962D-1MM-004

Having a full date and mintmark area would help. It appears the locations are different vertically. There were two mintmark punches used that year. Your coin appears to be from the damaged punch issue. This RPM is the same Damaged Punch, but the locations appear different. http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/...ie_state=mdsNote the coppercoins example above.

Thanks Coop, the position looks off because the coin is tilted. I do this to grab favorable lighting. I would normally post a straight overhead closeup shot of the date and MM but having all 4 of the reverse die markers visible in the full coin shot, I didn't think it necessary.

Good eye on that one, congrats.
I would suggest posting a link to the variety to help out others.

"coop did"
Exactly my point, the OP should do it as a courtesy.

Eventually all will do this. But some don't catch on yet. (It speeds up the confirming process)

Thanks for looking CCF!
As for posting a link, I will post one if I need help confirming the variety. I spent time finding this coin, photographing, editing, uploading, and confirmed on two separate attribution sites the die markers for what variety listing it corresponded to. The listing number itself tells you where to look and I assume many us variety hunters have a tab open to these sites. There is no norm for posting a link from what I've seen here anyways.

@Coin: From one point of view you are right about those for who know where to go to see, and many of us we have our own database on. The Links I thing IMO are very important for those who do not have enough experience and where they have to go to see. This it is my philosophy, on the Links. For me personally if you give me a number I will find out very soon, but others? Please tell me if I am wrong on some points., and me to adjust myself on the way is go now.
