I was just wondering if anyone can give me some tips to see the date or is it to damaged? When I change my lighting a little bit I think I can see a 4 but not really sure. Thank you

This has the appearance of a struck thru grease; if so, then it happened at the mint. Hard to say which mint, though Philadelphia seems more possible.

A Struck Through Grease cent.
It would be pretty hard to know what the date is now.

@lco, I agree that a close-up picture of the date area would help. When I squint at your current pics, I do see a 4 as the third digit, so I would label this a 194x. Unlike with well-worn Buffalo nickels, there is no magic liquid to bring back the date on these Struck Through Grease cents.

No VDB under bust on obverse . Could be anywhere from 1909 to 1958 most likely a philly .
Or a 1922 plain

Suggest dropping it into a 2x2 as a fun curiosity.
