Hello, here I have a 1982 D Lincoln Cent that I am unable to tell if it is the large or small date. I'm hoping very confidently that a more seasoned member may be able to determine. Thank you, everyone. Your knowledge is very appreciated.

Large date. For me the loop on the two is the easiest give away but others have different markers. Finding a 1982 D copper small date is like finding I tiny gold flake On a 100mile stretch of beach while sifting through the sand with a kids toy sifter lol.

elliottite,
It is a LD. Feel free to use the search box upper left of page for lots of examples of LD vs SD.

Many Thanks John1. I will definitely check it out. I was leaning more towards it being a LD also, but just not seasoned enough to know for sure, Thank you again.

Yes, yes. Large date.

While sifting all that sand, take into consideration that the tidal cycle is constantly moving material.

Yep, a large date cent, copper, Denver mint. Sorry, not the elusive small date we are all seeking out.

The shape of the '2' upside down on the large dates makes a '7' appear:

Also the location of the '2' is different on the large/small dates:
