i received an interesting package today. it was covered in stamps so I knew it had to be from a coin collector. I was hopeful that today was Christmas for me and when I opened it I was not disappointed. its kinda fun having a christmas present show up mid january. its like it extended the holiday season.
i opened it up and found treasures. there was a thoughtful handwritten card. I think thats a really nice touch and I wish I had thought to send one with the packages I sent. and the first treasure - a 1 pound note with The Queen and Isaac Newton.

there was a type set of really nice guernsey coins. they are all really nice examples and the art on them is quite attractive. I have recently watched "the guernsey literary and potato peel pie society" so its fun to be able to add some breadth to that experience.

the backs all have this sort of design. also this one is 7 sided. I think its the only 7 sided object I own.

then there were a couple of others. I have a 2018 1 kurus from turkey which will serve as a reminder of sending a package to turkey with this gift exchange. there is a french 5 francs. the french sure know how to do engraving. their coins are so beautiful.

there is also a christmas pudding company 3d piece. its very tiny and charming. it has a santa and some pudding!

thank you santa! and also thank you to everyone who participated. this has been a fun experience for me.
