Hello,
So I like the year set holders - Half Dollar thru Penny, 5 slots. I do notice that the coins rattle a bit in the holder. A friend told me he thinks this can damage the coins. Does anyone have any long term experience with these holders on if they damage or preserve well? Thanks!

Have you checked into the kind that screw together? Do they rattle?

I believe the only "damage" (rubbing) would be on the rims. No other part of the coin (faces) should be touching the plastic.
Rest in Peace

I've had two sets of uncirculated coins in such holders for >25 years. The coins in each look as good today as the day they were placed in the holder.
