It is a struck thru a filled die/ Grease Filled Die where the devices were not completely struck and missing details. If the T of TRUST was totally invisible ,your coin would have carried a premium above the face value.
How can well tell? On the die the raised devices on a coin, are deeper into the die. Thus when grease fills this void on the die, the coins will not show the tops of the taper of these devices. So the Grease Fill on that device, makes the devices wider, like the base overall size on the coin. So when you see the widened area (missing the taper at the top) it is a Grease Fill issue. The overall size of the devices will be normal, just wider on the tops of these devices on the coin.
