Hi,
How can you determine if I have a 1909 matte penny or not? Are there any other distinguishing markings that would help me identify if I have the rare version of this penny?

Eager to see obverse image. As it stands, the coin looks to have been cleaned.

The strike on the mate proofs are a lot stronger, giving more definition to the strikes:

CoopHome: How can you tell the differences between a Matte Proof 1910-1916 cents from a normal 1910-1916 cents the matte proofs have a stronger strike because they are struck twice.
