It appears to be a nice business strike coin, likely someone liberated it from long term storage recently.

to the CCF!

a really nice business strike.

I have a mint sewn bag of 1961 cents that are in this condition. I didn't find anything special when I searched them, so I drop a few into circulation every now and then (starting in 1992.) I've had a few make it back to me in change and I once had someone contact me to see if I wanted to buy one from them.

Welcome to CCF! Many USA coins do not have a mint mark. These were struck in Philadelphia. There are a few rare error coins that should have a mint mark but don't.

Too much flashback to see surfaces clearly, but doesn't seem to be a proof.

Looks to be a very bright and clean coin so try not to put finger prints on it because prints will tarnish it. It is a keeper so nice find.

To CCF! I agree. It's a normal Business Strike.
