I agree. it is a 1972-D Roosevelt dime.

At present, and from your input, this is the only response I am able to give. The mind reading app on my computer is malfunctioning.

BTW..please take this in the good nature it is intended...how can we help?

Sorry if I misunderstood, but I thought posting this in the coin grading forum would suggest by itself that it's a post looking to get others opinions on what this coin may grade as. Do I need to request specifically in the post title?

nice coin with the exception of that small mark on the obv. and the light chatter on the bottom of the neck. I think the coin may make MS67.

for FT or FB designation the following is required. since the upper band on the coin would not qualify both are eliminated from the designation. at 67 without that it could be $20 retail coin.

The PCGS "Full Bands" designation for Roosevelts requires that both the upper and lower pair of bands on the torch be distinct and show full separation. The line dividing the bands must be complete and unbroken.

The NGC "Full Torch"" designation will be applied to Roosevelt dimes having both upper and lower pair of horizontal bands split as well as the vertical lines of the torch being defined.

I'm not quite convinced the top line of the torch wouldn't qualify for FT/FB, I think the lighting in these images is so direct that it makes it basically impossible to tell the depth of the line. Could you post more images of the torch with lighting that's at different angles?

. FT it is. its the top bar. maybe a couple different shots of that area so we can see the separation area better
