From the USM website: "July 4th, 2026 marks the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and America's Semiquincentennial anniversary! The United States Mint is celebrating this significant milestone with an exciting redesign on select circulating coins for 2026." There's a survey link at the USM home page. Direct link to survey: https://usmint.gov1.qualtrics.com/j...TlA?Q_CHL=siAt the link, introductory language states "This is a one-year design change for 2026 only." The Survey asks respondents to indicate "interest levels" of various themes. Edited by cptbilly 09/10/2023 6:06 pm

Done. Interesting survey.
(It might be nice to see innovation in coin production during our history, but I might be biased.)

Voted in favor of Lady Liberty, not in favor of deceased Presidents, and suggested the wonders of nature (canyons, mountains, seashores and forests).
Now to find some really talented members of the medallic arts. (Not me!)

Quote: Voted in favor of Lady Liberty Same here. The worst options I can imagine are images of documents or phrases. Bringing Lady Liberty back would be cool!

A Walking Liberty Quarter would be righteous. . .

Survey completed. Thank you for sharing the link. I am rather excited to see some of the options. There was not much that bothered me. My only fear is they create so many choices that it would fill a multi-page Dansco album... or is that what I secretly want!

The American Women Quarters Program ends in 2025. . .I would wager the Mint will issue at least one new obverse and four new reverses. . .have to put something in those Mint and Proof Sets. . . "Select circulating coins" would indicate one or more of the primary circulating coins will be untouched. . .I expect any of the larger format coins to at least have a "250" privy mark, or perhaps a "1776-2026" date mark. I hope the Mint shows some imagination on this project. I would expect also to see UNC and PRF versions of a Semiquincentennial Medal as well as UNC & PRF of Half & Dollar Commem Coin(s).

I took the survey, too. But being so new to this hobby I only had a few "no interest" responses. I wonder if the mint will publish a survey results.
