Nice find from circulation at that One major War Nickel variety for the 1945-P is the doubled die reverse aka DDR mainly seen on the Monticello and five cents much like the famous 1939 DDR nickel. The doubled die reverse is the big money 1945-P nickel, but there are also a ton of repunched mint marks for that year. The huge P makes many of them easier to see. I've auctioned a handful of War Nickels on ebay this year, and they went for $1.75-2.25. Which means they average $1 profit after ebay fees and shipping. A pretty good deal for a coin you can find in circulation for 5¢. =) Report this Post to the Staff
