I'm curious if the weights are corresponding to the coin, will it be like I guess it was in 2016? Wondering if dime is 1/10th oz, quarter will be a 1/4 oz, and the half dollar will be a 1/2 oz? Essentially these are backdated versions of the original, but in gold? And there will also be a dollar?
So far the "accompanying silver medals" I'm not really in love with.
I did have all 3 of the 2016 gold centennial coins, but they all got flipped for other coins I wanted. I never really gained a great desire to replace them, I did buy another gold
Mercury dime, just the cheap one. I found a great deal on one when spot was down.
I'm not sure if I'll be able to swing those gold coins next year. Depends on what's going on with silver eagle releases. If they do the double eagle, maybe I'd concentrate on that one only. With the other gold release, I almost feel like "been there, done that" since I previously had those 3.

I like taking about the gold that I do have. Much of it was traded, silver to gold. I had a few non numismatic things I decided to sell to get some of this stuff also. Gold doesn't take up a lot of space.
The first set ever made with an
ASE in it, a 1993 Philadelphia Bicentennial Set. The gold eagles are 1/2, 1/4 and 1/10th oz, an
ASE (P mintmark , nothing odd, all the proofs were P that year) and a Philadelphia Mint Bicentennial medal (1 oz .999). The gold eagles were also P mintmark.
The 1995 10th anniversary set you all know about.
The 1997 Impressions of Liberty set is also lesser known, has 3 eagles, gold, platinum, and silver, it was the first year for the platinum eagle and has a really beautiful design. Again the silver eagle is just the normal P mint for that year. Limited to 5000 sets. Beautiful OGP. Serial numbered and hand signed COA by Philip Diehl, the mint director. All of them.
In 2006, we all know the Uncirculated finish was introduced and we also know about the 3 coin silver set. There were 3 20th Anniversary sets that year.
The 3 coin silver set, which was a proof, Uncirculated and reverse proof
ASE.
There was also a 2 coin silver and gold set. 2006 was also the first year for Uncirculated finish gold eagles as well, so they had this 2 coin set with an Uncirculated silver eagle and gold eagle. Then the real deal is the 3 coin gold set, which was the same as the 3 coin silver set, but gold eagles, proof, Uncirculated, and reverse proof. This is the only time the Mint has offered a reverse proof gold eagle to date. Type 1 or 2. I've got all 3 of those 2006 sets. That 3 coin gold set, with 3 oz of gold, that was a tough one to get.
Other than those, these 2 are really special to me as well:
2009 UHR (Ultra High Relief) double eagle, this is just a spectacular coin.
2013 reverse proof buffalo, that's the only year they did that.
