This is serious money in higher grades. I like it, but I'd ask seller for shots from two different angles before biddiing.

Coinfrog is correct, this is serious money above MS-63 and this certainly looks better than a 63 to me. I couldn't drop serious money on it from just pics though. I'd have to see it in hand for any broken luster.

I pulled the trigger on this one. Had good luck with this dealer in the past with fairly represented coins and he offers 30 day returns. If the coin is as nice as it appears to be the price was good. Only dings I see are two small ones in cheek and a slightly larger one on the hair curl. Fields look pristine. Will post new pictures when it arrives.

we know you can't go by photos for accuracy. check seller reviews.
nice feather definition and headband with full rims. a little weak or die related wear/polishing on the shield

i'd call the obv MS64 or really close. reverse MS63 maybe a +
so it does have a shot at 64.

consider auction sales

at MS63 slabbed about $320
MS63+ is a little strange around $240
MS64 closer to $425

edited to add color: I think the reverse will hold it to BN so price the coin based on that to be safe

Looks MS-64BN to me. Photo lighting makes it look more red than it is.

I am concerned about the color mismatch between the obverse and reverse and will have to assume it's just some sort of album / coin board toning.

Looks like a mikesmountainvalue special. While his coins are attractive, they are all altered in some way. His coins may straight grade sometimes, but other times they are obviously altered. Good luck with it, it does look nice!

I don't buy MS Indians raw any more - even years of experience left me off the mark too often in the past. As it stands in the raw, I wouldn't pay more than $100 for it. Might be doctored (obverse/reverse color discrepancy bothers me), and truthfully it might even go AU-58 if straight. Not really a fan.

I'm in at $92. If it had gone up another 75 cents I would have been out, literally. We'll see what the deal is when it arrives.

Agree with RedRaider. Another seller to avoid, professional coin doctor. Pretty sure everything raw is cracked problem coins / MS70 doctored, and most if not all of his graded coins were doctored by him and managed to get a straight grade. So many blue/purple "toned" coppers makes this more obvious.
