Quote: Today is the day. So, who here got them? My USM account shows the order as shipped, as others in the thread above.

I'm over this series. Too expensive to start with. I have my ASE collection to tend to, and at the prices this are at, especially the sets like the Limited Edition set, I just can't see keeping up with the Peace and Morgan's. Even though I appreciate that they aren't medals. I think the ASEs will be it for me going forward, possible exception is the "throwback" silver medal like the flowing hair this year. As long as it's the one medal a year. With the Peace and Morgan you have 2, plus proof and Uncirculated, makes it 4, plus the reverse proof set. That adds up fast.

Every item from the mint is expensive. To each their own, but aren't there just as many ASEs (and with much higher mintages)? Seems like these will go the way of every other mint issue. Popular at first, then by year 3/4 everyone has had enough. I get it, I gave up on proof sets 25 years ago and have never looked back.

I also cancelled my subscriptions for some items from the Mint, including the 'Morgan-Peace' dollars. Prices for almost everything in life has gone up, and my monthly Social Security checks can't buy as much as before. Also, I realize that for every dollar I spend at the Mint, I'll only get maybe fifty cents back if I try to sell.
I do miss not getting all the coins I'd like, but sometimes we can't get it all.

My RP set was shipped yesterday and shows to be "Out For Delivery" between noon and 2pm today. I'm planning on cancelling all my mint subscriptions on Jan 1, 2025. Enough is enough.

Westernsky stated: " Enough is enough. " The Morgans do NOT have another 100th Anniversary. Now the Peace Dollars Series is another Animal, ....... I too collectively dropped My Subscriptions .....Far Too Greedy..... We are witnessing a Newer Frontier ahead for the US Dis-Appoint-Mint.

I don't discount, or whatever you call it, anyone who likes the modern Morgan and Peace series. It's not that I don't like them or even think they aren't worth the cost. It's just that I have my real passion, and if I need to cut back, it's not going to be "my" ASEs. My typical year: 2 proofs (W and S) Congrats set Limited Edition set Uncirculated At least one nice new bullion (and now a nice new privy mark version)

Same, @Gilly. My annual US Mint purchases are down to: o Proof, Silver Proof, and Uncirculated sets o Proof and RP American Innovation sets o W and S ASE Proofs o Uncirculated ASE Proof That's it for the annual offerings. I *may* consider a modern commem if it's one that catches my eye (though I haven't bought one in a few years) and I will absolutely buy any ASE special product/set that includes a special ASE (Reverse Proof, Special Finish, etc.) Also, as I've mentioned before, I expect 2026 (250th anniversary of the USA and 40th anniversary of ASE) to be a very spendy one. Come on, Powerball...

Quote : " Never thought I would consider giving up on proof sets but with the prices continuing to skyrocket, I'm getting there. " Lets talk about that, We Try to keep the Uncirculated Mint sets and Proof Sets updated as they are issued. I too enjoy the Sets from the First 1936 Proof set to the First 1947 Uncirculated Mint set. Trying to obtain the Full Originally Packaged series is a challenge, One I have been focused on, Like many Here, for a Long, Long Time Too. Today's sets are Another Animal Too, Not the Silver used from days gone bye, But We collect them All. The U S Dis-appoint-mints have been off the Greed charts with raising prices Before Precious metals being at Historic Heights . It's Hard to justify buying as I have in the past, I Too Collect because I enjoy Every Single coin, medal or numismatic pieces I have had the pleasure of holding in hand........ If they Could talk Collect what you Will,
