The two 1972 Ike dollars and the two 1977 Kennedy halves are just copper nickel, no silver, and they are common. The 1965 Kennedy is 40% silver clad. 1964, the first year of Kennedy, was 90% silver while 1965-1970 were 40% silver clad. All circulating Kennedys after 1970 are CuNi clad.

"sdexcid - try getting a very accurate measurement of the diameter of your 1933. There are many copies done on silver round blanks and then gold plated, but they are a different diameter from the real coins. A very accurate weight will also help you. If your coin is wrong diameter or weight, you know you've got a copy and no need to waste money on a safe deposit box or certifying the coin."

jdfindring is right sdexcid , there are guys on here who can spot a fake that would fool most people.Remember my Lima 2 Escudoes guys?
Looked and felt all the world like the real deal, even when we knew for sure its a fake we werent 100% sure as it was such a good fake.
The experts here soon put that puppy to bed with science that proved beyond doubt it isn't gold , plated maybe but its not gold.

I did an ebay completed listings search for the 15 Ruble. $800 - $900Cdn would be the typical going price at the moment. Better examples getting to $1,200Cdn(of which I believe yours is), but of these, most are graded. Of course being ebay, some examples were in the $700Cdn range and not necessarily in lesser condition.

So, $800US is close to $1K Cdn, and for an ungraded example, I 'spose a fair dealer price at that.

VVV Here's something that may interest you to watch. VVV

Thats amazing that a little coin like that is worth that much. I am very impressed.

I don't think I want to sell it though. It's cool to say "I have a rare coin that is pretty expensive"

Especially it being from 1897!

For any interested I took that 1933 coin and flew to a Calgary coin shop. He believed it was real but did not want to confirm it with just his opinion.

He contacted a close friend of his who worked in a museum with coin knowledge. This person also confirmed that it was 100% legit. He said he would speak to some people in the coin business to get me a good sale. I was offerred $5,000,000 USD for it. I am seeing if this is a good deal throughother professionals or if I am being taken for a ride here.

From all the opinions I have heard It was suggested I sell it before it gets confinscated by a government agency or a museaum trying to claim rights to it.

Any input or advice is much appreciated.

lol not really asking for belief. I think I have proved way beyond any means that this is true. Also, Its in a safety deposit box in a bank and I am not going to move it to take a picture of it. When/if it goes for sale I'll take the picture with the note like I did the other coins.

Any serious input with people who have knowledge (profession) about this coin is appreciated.

Please take no offense to those of us that are skeptical. The other coins you spoke of seemed very plausible to be passed on from a family member but without some type of proof of ownership of a $5 million+ coin it's kinda hard to believe.

A local coin shop offered 5 million $ for it?

If you are in Canada I really don't see how any Government agency are going to confiscate it.

Unless you feel the CIA are going to send out some undercover operatives for the coin?

Come on, put up or shut up. Let's see the pics. Then and only then can we tell you if it's legit.

QS, there wasn't a need for that last sentence. GO summed it up nicely.

sdex, did you happen to weigh it as was suggested earlier, before you put it in the deposit box?
Rest in Peace
