Here is the Reverse, so you can see it wasn't dipped in anything.

I've seen this sort of toning on ebay, is it really worth $30 or more?

What do the experts say?

Just staining......could have been in a cars cup holder and got some kind of sugary liquid on it!

There is no evidence of staining because it doesn't bleed onto the edge, and all the letters are the same color. The penny itself is two different colors.

Coin was partly covered by something as it toned - like an envelope in a drawer. Anyone who would pay over face for this needs their head examined.

That area was protected from toning by something, common occurrence, worth 1 cent.

I agree with Coinfrog and BadThad. Just a face value coin.

Word of advice - drop the ' no mint mark', it makes you sound like a clueless newbie who watched too many clickbait YouTube videos (or worse reads the Sun).

But at least you are here.

The Philadelphia Mint has never put its P mintmark on cents, except in 2017 to commemorate the 225th anniversary of the founding of the mint. So ' no mint mark' is just a normal Philly coin.

FWIW - except for the War Nickels to identify them as 35% silver - they didn't mark any coins until the 1979 Susan B. Anthony dollars and then the other coins from 1980 onwards. Even today, some bullion coins don't have the "P".
