1830 Capped Bust half dollar coin, would like to know if it is small 0 or large 0 and also there is some errors looks like extra letters on top edges of United. Thank you so much for your help it very appreciated

It's a small 0. The metal flow at the top of the reverse letters is from Die Deterioration. Nice circulation cameo effect.

As has already been mentioned, the pulling of the letters and stars toward the rim is due to Die Deterioration. This was extremely common for capped bust halves, where dies were frequently pushed to their limits. Later die states often show this streaking effect.

As soon as I see " Capped Bust half dollar" and "Error" in the title, I am clicking on it ASAP!!!

Small 0, Die Deterioration as previously mentioned. No errors


Here is a REAL Bust Half error!!
1818 O-104 misaligned dies, double struck (dentil tracks in cap).
